Founded by Daniel Slade, a New Zealand native now based in the Netherlands, World in a Box was created from a passion for experiencing and sharing the cultures, flavours, and traditions of the world.

Having always enjoyed discovering new places through their food, cuisine, and local traditions, Daniel wanted to create a way for others to experience the authentic character of different countries. Not through imitations, but through genuine products sourced from their places of origin.

The idea behind World in a Box is simple: to bring a piece of each destination to you, allowing you to discover the flavours, stories, and craftsmanship that make each country unique. Just as sharing food with friends creates connection, we believe the right gift can bring people closer together and create meaningful experiences.
